Helpful Tips:
- Please wheel all toters
to the curb by 5:00AM on the day of service, every week, as Discovery
Bay Disposal Service provides a weekly service for your solid waste
and recyclables. Please place the toters 2 to 3 feet apart from each
other.
- Please do not place toters under
wires or by cars or basketball hoop.
- Bag all ashes, kitty
litter, sawdust, and Styrofoam™.
- If you have extra garbage,
computers, appliances or televisions, please call us to schedule a
special pickup at (925) 634-3099.
- RENTAL
PROPERTIES: Contra Costa County ordinance states that it
is mandatory to have weekly garbage service and it is the owner’s
responsibility for this service. The ordinance also states that if
the tenant fails to pay the bill, it is the owner’s obligation
to pay the bill. We require new tenants to present a copy of the
rental agreement before we start service for the tenant. As long
as there are no outstanding bills for the property, we will open
the account for the tenant. However, when there is an outstanding
balance, we require service to be in the owner’s
name.
- Discovery Bay Disposal
Service collects garbage every weekday and recycling materials bi-weekly,
except Christmas and New Year’s Day. If
your service is interrupted on these two holidays, your garbage will
be collected on the following day, for that week only.

Service works with the Contra Costa Conservation
& Development Department at 651 Pine Street, 4th Floor, North Wing,
