Residential Service Policies
DO NOT LEAVE SANITATION
COLLECTORS MONEY OR ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES!
Garbage consists of household waste and trash,
but does not include furniture or heavy and bulky material, which is
classified as junk.
No dirt or rocks is allowed.
Missed Service: We
assume all pickups will be completed as scheduled unless we are advised
by the resident within 48 hours. All national holidays are worked, except
Christmas and New Year's Day. Pickup days that occur on or after the
listed holidays will be delayed one day, for that week only.
No Hazardous Waste should
be disposed of in the container. These wastes include, but are not limited
to: oils, solvents, paints, pool chemicals, insecticides, car tires,
and refrigerators/freezers with freon. Please read instructions on all
containers before they are disposed of. For more information on where to drop off

Regular service is once a week. Additional
service can be provided for an extra charge by calling our office at
least 24 hours in advance.
Customers utilizing cart and recycling services
must have containers placed at the curb the night before collection day.
Discovery Bay Disposal Service is not responsible
for the loss of property placed in or around the garbage containers.
Please keep your dog locked up on collection
day.
We recommend a heavy-duty galvanized steel
can, with lid, for durability. We cannot be held responsible for damage
to plastic cans.
If you live on a cul-de-sac or a court, please
park parallel to the curb or in the driveway on the day of service. If
that is not possible, please place toter in an open area at the curb,
not on the sidewalk. Please do not place toters under basketball hoops
or by cars.
Additional charges will be
assessed for toters that are burnt or damaged, or due to unpaid bills.
Additional charges will be assessed for carts pulled due to unpaid bills.
Commercial Service Policies
Debris should not be loaded over the top of
the container. The lid should close completely when the cart is loaded.
Our drivers are instructed not to pick up overloaded containers.
Additional service can be provided for an
extra charge. Please call our office at least 24 hours in advance.

Access to bin and enclosures must be clear
of debris and vehicles. There is an additional charge for return pickups.
